Accidentally click on the site; hence, try to post something here else worry they may suspend my account. :P

Just finished my MSc in Biomedical Engineering. Finally, it is over and I am an Oxford graduate!! :)

Doing DPhil in Healthcare Innovation now. Luckily, I did well in other modules of the course and had been awarded Cornhill Prize for Best MSc Individual Project and 3-year scholarship for my DPhil studies. However, my current course is different from conventional DPhil. It is a 4-year program which means I still need to find money for the 4th year. :( In the first year, the first 6 months are for lectures, seminars, hospital placement, and assignments and the next 6 months for two short projects. At the end of first year, one of the short projects may be my actual DPhil research topic.

Best Award Certificate .. :)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 234px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_leuukxfeWNU/SviFnLKglDI/AAAAAAAAAD4/etSqVD-j3XM/s320/Certificate+of+The+Cornhill+Prize+for+Best+Individual+Project.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5402214661089170482" />

Scholarship Flyer.. ^^
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 228px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_leuukxfeWNU/SviGavX75UI/AAAAAAAAAEA/uAlokx54MJM/s320/22.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5402215546982491458" />

First time did so bad in my exam..

Now, I am worrying about passing the exam. I didn't know why I was so nervous in the examination school yesterday. It was my first paper, I didn't have the confidence to pass the paper. Just sent an e-mail to the chair and director of my course, I know I can't do anything right now as the exam is over already.

Couldn't sleep for the whole night. Just kept on checking the question papers and found out that I could actually do most of them.

Lesson from this incident, do not drink too much red bull before the exam. It is a pain in the ass to accomplish this task. First of all, I had no idea whether this was possible or not. Spent a few hours in the internet to search for possible solutions to have two OS running in a machine. I managed to get this site which teaches you how to install both OS in a PC. If you have installed XP OS and intended to install Vista OS now, please check out this link. These two sites have step by step instructions to guide you through the process. However, I am using latest SATA hard disk, it gives me a bunch of problems. Remember this step - search for your SATA hard disk driver before you install XP OS. This is because XP bootable disk can not detect SATA hard disk existent as there is not SATA driver.

It took me hours to search for my SATA driver. :( I am having a WD2500BEVT hard disk. Since the manufacturer is Western Digital (WD), I thought it wont be easier for me to get the driver from their website. Nevertheless nothing ran as smooth as I thought, I ended up wasting 1 DVD-R and 1 CD-R because I had to burn the driver into the bootable disk. At the end, I visited my laptop manufacturer site and found the driver required to detect my hard disk for XP installation. I just keyed in my service tag code and all the drivers were displayed in the site. I personally think that Dell has done a good job in providing the conveniences to their customers.

After burning everything needed into a DVD-RW bought from my department, I managed to install the XP OS. For nLite beginner, I think the drive is not required to be changed as instructed in the website link above. Once I changed the drive to the place where I installed my OS, it always popped-up error. It was running perfectly fine when I kept the drive option as the default setting.

The next challenge was to install VS 6 in my XP OS as I needed to use it in the project. This created a ton of problems again. I spent about two night to figure out what was wrong with my installer. First of all, my installer missed a few important files that were required. I assumed this was my fault as I accidentally deleted them last time when I transferred the data from my old laptop. Wasted a few hours to search for the genuine software from internet. :P As always nothing went smoothly after I came to UK, I failed to install the software. This time was caused by stupid Microsoft, they had changed something in their latest OS product. If you are using Vista, please check out this site to install Visual Studio (VS) 6. For XP SP2 and 3 users, please check out this to install VS 6.

In a nutshell, wasted about a week of my lovely semester break to prepare the environment. From tomorrow onwards, I need to focus on debugging communication problem of my previous project. I want to travel around UK> :P

P/S: Why does Microsoft never think of compatible issues when they launch their products? Correct me if I am WRONG, all the softwares mention above are from Microsoft!!!!! If it is 3rd party software, I can still accept this but ..... -.-|||

Time to sleep. Hopefully whoever wants to install the stated softwares will not need to go through all the troubles I have had. Good luck!!!! :)

Thank you darling..

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_leuukxfeWNU/SUhKphJ8HCI/AAAAAAAAADo/h_EeWDbRKG4/s320/SNC14580.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5280552640227056674" />

Thanks darling for the parcel. The new pump price for RON 97 is now RM 2 per litre while RON 92 is sold at RM1.90 per litre. The price for diesel is RM1.90 per litre. This was the fifth price cut since August 2008 after the petrol price hit USD 147 per barrel in July 2008. A barrel of crude oil price was about USD 56 a day before the price cut.

The latest crude oil price, on midday 24 Nov 2008 in Singapore, was USD 50.30 a barrel, up 37 cents after US President-elect Barack Obama selected an economic team to tackle what could be the worst slowdown in decades. Investors gained confidence from the report and subsequently pushed the crude oil price to rise above USD 50 per barrel.

If the petrol price remains approximately USD 50 per barrel, there might be a further 15 sen reduction at the end of this month in Malaysia according to Domestic Trade and Consumer Minister Malaysia. This is good news for all Malaysians. The petrol and diesel prices in Malaysia are relatively lower than those in most countries because Malaysia produces petroleum. The Malaysian government subsidizes 30 sen for every litre of petrol purchase. As a result, the commercial price of a litre of petrol in Malaysia is the lowest among South East Asian countries besides Brunei.

However Finance Minister Malaysia, Datuk Seri Najib, who is also deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, told Malaysians not to expect the petrol prices to be reduced constantly. This is because he strongly believed that the crude oil price will not remain at such a low price for a long time. Thus, the government decided to stick with the original plan to review the commercial petrol prices every two weeks to provide some sort of stability. This step was adopted to prevent petrol station owners from suffering gigantic losses due to the price reduction.

There is also a report which suggests setting a floor price for petrol selling in Malaysia. The main reason for the suggestion is to avoid a leap frog increment when the crude oil prices rise sky high again in the future.

(For your information, a sen is a unit of currency used in Malaysia. It is equivalent to a penny in the UK but the value is approximately 5.5 times smaller. RM refers to Ringgit Malaysia. It is the currency of Malaysia and its currency code is MYR. As of Monday, 24 November, 2008, 1GBP is equivalent to 5.4832 MYR. In Malaysia, the commercial petrol and diesel prices are controlled by the government. It is quite different from other countries where the selling prices fluctuate according to market prices.)

A thank you letter to my sponsor. :)

22 November 2008

Yee Kai, Tee
Wolfson College
Linton Road
Oxford
OX2 6UD
yeekai.tee@eng.ox.ac.uk
07770763503

Mr George Robinson and Mr Hugh Sloane
Trustees
The Sloane Robinson Foundation
20 St Dunstan's Hill
London
EC3R 8HD

Dear Mr Robinson and Mr Sloane,

My name is Yee Kai, Tee and I am one of the 2008/09 recipients for Sloane Robinson Foundation Scholarship for MSc in Biomedical Engineering at Oxford University. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generosity in providing this scholarship. I am relying on student loans to finance my education; therefore, receiving this scholarship will reduce my financial burdens and motivates me to continue to strive for excellence.

Studying at one of the top universities in the world has always been my dream. It is because the best university in my home country, Malaysia is out of the top 200 universities list in the latest THE-QS world university ranking list. Thus, I really appreciate your generosity in offering this scholarship to me. I was in doubt to accept the offer from the university before receiving the scholarship notification letter. This is because studying and living in United Kingdom (UK) for 1 year is very expensive for me.

I chose to study in biomedical engineering because it is the application of engineering principles and techniques to the medical field. It combines the design and problem solving skills of engineering with the medical and biological science to help improve patients health care and their quality of life. I have always possessed an ambition to study in a field that is closely related to medicine. The introduction of the biomedical engineering course at Oxford University has motivated me to further my studies in this field.

Your generosity has made a profound impact on my life and I am truly grateful to be the recipient of the scholarship. Receiving the Sloane Robinson Foundation Scholarship is of tremendous gift to me.

Yours sincerely,
Yee Kai,Tee

About My Studies in UK

I am currently a post-graduate student at Oxford University, where I am studying for an MSc in Biomedical Engineering. I am at Wolfson College which is located in the north of Oxford. The course lasts for one year, and it has a taught component as well as a dissertation component. I have to attend classes in the first two terms. My final project will start at the end of Hilary term. I hope to work on stem cell monitoring research. There is limited literature on this topic as it is still in its infancy stage. However, I am still keen to put my time and effort into it as stem cell research has numerous benefits for human beings.

I will sit for two written papers in June 2009. The dissertation has to be submitted at the end of August 2009 and then I will have a viva in September 2009. The course ends officially if I am able to pass the finals and viva. I hope I can get a distinction in my studies otherwise I will need to pay back the full amount of my study loan. If I am able to do this, I just need to pay back half of the amount I have borrowed.

After I graduate, I am hoping to do a DPhil in Biomedical Engineering at the same university. However, it all depends on whether I am able to secure funding to finance my studies or not. If not, I will go back to my country first and work as a researcher or lecturer in a public university. It is because the Malaysian government offers scholarships to lecturers and researchers in the public universities to further their doctoral studies overseas but the scholars will be bonded for 7 years after they have graduated.

A Post by Tun Dr M....

SIEW SIN ON SINO MALAY RELATIONS

Posted by Dr. Mahathir Mohamad at November 11, 2008 8:08 AM | Permalink | Comments (387) | TrackBacks (0) | Previous Blog
Going through some old documents I came across this record of a speech by the Honourable Minister of Finance, Enche (sic) Tan Siew Sin, at the Delegates' Conference of the Hokkien Association of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur on 22nd May 1965.

It is too long a speech to be reproduced in full. I will therefore cite only the parts that seem to be relevant to the current debates in Malaysia. I would be happy to provide the full text if needed.

Siew Sin remarked that the British identified the Chinese as a whole unjustly with the Malayan People's Anti-Japanese Army which was controlled by the Communists. The Emergency of 1948-1960 generated even greater suspicion against the Chinese community because the movement was directed by the Communists who were largely Chinese.

"This fear," Siew Sin said, "led the British to a policy of restricting citizenship rights for the Chinese as they felt that it would be dangerous for too many of them to become citizens....The result was that only about 200,000 Chinese had managed to become citizens out of a total of more than two million then resident in the former Federation of Malaya".

Farsighted Statesmanship

"When negotiating the terms of independence before that date," Siew Sin continued, "the MCA had asked that every Chinese who could legitimately claim to be regarded as a citizen should be allowed to become a citizen with the achievement of independence. It is a tribute to the farsighted statesmanship of UMNO and its leaders that they reacted sympathetically to this request. To give effect to this sympathy, a provision was inserted in the constitution itself to the effect that "good character" meant any person who had not been in jail during the period of three years preceding his application for citizenship.

"This was the main stumbling block to the acquisition of citizenship in colonial days. With the removal of this barrier, it was possible to admit approximately one million new citizens within 12 months of Merdeka and, of this number, roughly 800,000 were Chinese. If the Malays had been against giving a fair deal to the Chinese in the matter of citizenship, they would not have allowed such a situation to develop.

"The next major issue was the one concerning the special position of the Malays. Not many people are aware that this provision was inserted in the 1948 Federation of Malaya Agreement as part of the special responsibilities of the High Commissioner in the following terms;

"The safeguarding of the special position of the Malays and of the legitimate interests of other communities.

"It will be seen that this simple phrase could mean nothing. It could also mean everything. It was vague, it was also comprehensive and it was comprehensive enough as to be capable of being interpreted in a way which could mean the virtual elimination of Chinese economic interests in important sectors of the economy. Here again, with independence, this omnibus provision was scaled down to a precise definition so that it will be clear to all what this provision means. You will find it in article 153 of the Constitution. I have no time in a speech of this nature to tell you exactly what it means or what it does not mean, but very briefly, the effect of this provision is that, firstly, all existing rights are preserved; secondly, no citizen can be prohibited from engaging in business activity or deprived of his right to engage in business activity merely because he is a non-Malay."

Chinese Education

"In the field of Chinese education, a matter which is dear to the hearts of the majority of the Chinese population of this country, and one on which they feel very strongly, I do not have to remind that Chinese education today has the kind of status which could not have been possible in the days before independence. In 1954, which was the year before the Federation's first general election, when the alliance came to power for the first time the amount spent on Chinese education was $11.7 million. The amount spent on education as a whole was $99.9 million. In 1963, and I have taken 1963 because after this year we would be dealing in pan-Malaysian figures, and therefore the comparison would not be fair, the figures were $44.6 million and $283 million respectively.

"In other words while the amount spent on education as a whole increased by 183.28 per cent in nine years, the amount spent on Chinese education increased by 281.19 per cent. In brief, Chinese education has fared even better than education as a whole since independence, and education as a whole has been the principal beneficiary of independence.

"It will, therefore, be seen that in three major areas, that is, in the field of citizenship, Malay rights, and Chinese education, the Chinese are actually in a much happier position today than they were in the days of colonial rule. I have taken some pains to trace the history of these matters because i have heard, not only in this country, but overseas, that the Chinese were better off under British rule than they were in the former Federation of Malaya or in Malaysia today. I could give other instances, but the three major ones I have given will serve to show how unfounded such a belief is."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am supposed to sleep before 1am as I have a class that starts at 9 am later. However, this post suddenly makes me feel that Tun should make his statement clearly. It is because it has generated hatred in between different races in Malaysia. I have no objection that Malay should enjoy the special privilege after independence day but I am just curious how long will this last. After 51 years of independence, I am the 3rd generation in Malaysia. Do we still need to classify ourselves as Chinese, Malay or Indian? Should we just call ourselves as Malaysian?

Tun, you have been in power for 22 years in Malaysia. If the residents in the country still diversify themselves based on their race, religious,culture and background, do you think that you have failed to be a good Prime Minister? No doubt, I appreciate your contributions to this country but I do not agree to each and everything that you have done. I would say that you have done most of them according to the best of your judgements and knowledge. Nevertheless, nothing is perfect is this world. Human does make mistake but I do wish to see that an admirable leader like Tun can clarify the main purpose and statement on the post above. If you just want to highlight the Chinese condition during British Colonial and after the independence, it is fine. Hopefully this is not a post that is intended to gain popularity among certain race which a dirty method that is always being used by some of politicians to gain popularity among their own race.

I do hope to visualize one day that all the people in Malaysia will emphasize that they are Malaysian instead of Malay, Chinese or Indian. Last thing is the statement was made in 1950s, please do not use it to do other comparison beside backdated it to the condition before and after the independence. History is a story written by someone, you will never know the actual fact if somebody has intentionally biased it to one side. History is just a fact for us to refer to what has happened in the past and it should not be used to make an argument or discussion about one's right as all of them are past. We should look at the future and use the past experience to achieve success in a more efficient way. :)

Please contribute your 5 cent thoughts to this post.... :)

Why are people in UK earning more than Asians?

- People in UK work from 9am to 5pm and you can hardly find them after the office hours whereas Asians normally work from 8am to 8pm and you would still probably see them in the office after 9pm sometime.

- Most of the restaurants, shops and markets close at 5pm on weekday, open half day on Saturday and rest on Sunday in UK. The subject is computational method which is related to application of mathematics in Matlab. There are 5 exercises in total. Each of them has a few sub-exercises. I managed to finish 80% of it myself and referred to my friends' solution for the rest. "Refer" in here means understand how they work on the problem and do it myself.

I am quite surprised that "copy assignment" culture does happen in one of the best universities in the world. Currently, Oxford is ranked in the 4th place according to THES ranking 2008.

I still remembered during my undergraduate studies at MMU, copied assignments in the library on the submission deadline was one of the most happening events. I was always one of them staying in the library and looking for solutions. :P Papers, questions and answers flied from one table to another table. The same situation occurred at Oxford too. However the Matlab assignment required to use a PC to run the programming codes, papers were not floating around the place instead e-mails were sent from one side to another side. No doubt that some of them are very smart and clever; they are able to complete all the exercises by themselves (I am not one of them :p). The others were just trying to find the solutions from the seniors or the ones who have actually completed them.

Anyway, what I want to voice out in this post is basically there is no or very small difference in between students in a good or not so good university actually. :) Copy assignment culture exists in every corner of the world :D

Food and eating habit in Malaysia

Malaysian Food is not one particular variety of food but a culinary diversity originating from its multi-ethnic population of Malay, Chinese, Indians, Nyonyas, Eurasians and Indigenous people of Borneo.

Malay food is often described as spicy and tasty as it utilizes a melting pot of spices and herbs. The most famous Malay food is “Nasi Lemak”. It consists of rice, hot spicy sauce (sambal), cucumber slices, fried anchovies, roasted peanuts and hardboiled egg. The food is delicious and fragrant as knotted screwpine leaves are added into the rice while cooking.

“Bak Kut Teh” is undoubtedly one of the most popular Malaysian Chinese dishes. It is made of meaty pork ribs and a complex broth of herbs and spices including star anise, cinnamon, cloves, dang gui and garlic. All these ingredients are put into a claypot and boiled together with pork bones for hours. The dish is usually served with rice or noodles and crunchy Chinese crullers for dipping into the soup. It is one of the most scrumptious dishes in Chinese food. The herbal smell and taste are divine.

The Indian community is the third largest population in Malaysia. Spices are the heart and soul of Indian cooking. “Roti Canai”,the so called Indian Pastry Pancake, is a dish unique to Malaysian Indian. Its ingredients are plain flour, salt, sugar, ghee and water. It is a form of puffed bread served hot with curry or dhal. It tastes delicous and is crispy.

The Nyonyas are the descendants of immigrant Chinese who married and integrated with the local Malay population. Nyonya food contains many traditional ingredients of Chinese and Malay spices and herbs. It is a fusion cuisine. “Asam Laksa” is the most well-known food for the Nyonya in Malaysia. It is a bowl of thick white rice noodles served in a soup made of fish meat, tamarind, onion, Vietnamese mint, pineapple and sliced cucumber. The food is hot and sour. Therefore, some people might not like it but it is zesty and piquant if you are a fan of the food.

Eurasian refers to a community of people with mixed parentage, Caucasian and Asiatic. This includes the colonial occupants such as the Portuguese, the Dutch and the British. Eurasian food, in general, is an amalgamation of European cuisines with local ingredients and influences from Malay, Chinese and Indian styles of cooking. The Indigenous people of Borneo are Malaysians staying in Borneo Island. Basically they are Malays, Chinese or Indians but since they are located geographically near to Indonesia, their style of cooking and food are influenced by those of their neighbours.

Malaysia consists of different races, and as a result people use different type of implements to eat their food. Malays normally like to use their hand to eat. Chinese people prefer to use chopsticks and spoons in general. Indians and others are using spoons and forks or a combination of them. Nowadays, it is quite hard to classify which way is preferable by a race because they stay under the same roof. Most of the time, it depends on which implement is available or provided by the restaurant.

When having a meal, Malaysians like to sit at a big table and put all the dishes in the middle. The dishes are shared by all the family members. Each of them will be served a bowl of rice or other foods like noodles or rice vermicelli. This is quite unique as non-Malaysians usually have a set meal for each individual and they seldom share their food with others.

Restaurants, food courts and mamak stalls are mostly open 24 hours and 7 days a week. Thus, people in Malaysia will never have the trouble of getting food whenever they are hungry. Mamak stalls are traditionally operated in open-air space. They are extremely popular among Malaysians as hang out spots because cheap food and beverages are served. They operate 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. It has been etched permanently into Malaysian culture, much in part because of its ubiquitous nature such as long operation hours and dining in unshielded area. The mamak stall is very much a melting pot of cultures, a symbol of multiracial harmony. People of all races, religions and ages come to mamak stalls to gossip or catch a late-night football game frequently while enjoying a cup of hot “Teh Tarik”. “Teh tarik” is a hot beverage that is made from black tea and condensed milk. It is one of the favourite drinks among Malaysians.

Malaysians are less concerned about nutrition information of food. The majority of people tend to buy ingredients for cooking based on the price, taste and appearance of the product. The same goes for eating. People tend to select food that is tasty and delicious without considering the calories or fat it contains. It is hard to find a restaurant menu with nutrition information except fast food restaurants which have to abide by the rules and regulations set by the government. Nevertheless, a large portion of people might still not have an idea of how much calories and fat they should consume daily.

(This is just my 5 cents worth of opinion for eating habit and food in Malaysia; it might not reflect the general or actual fact in the country. I hold no responsibility or liability for any misleading or wrong information in this article. )

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It took me more than 2 hours to write the essay above due to my limited vocabulary. I am not able to describe the ingredients used and the taste of food in an attractive way. I also found that actually I do not know my country well as I need to refer to Internet resources frequently while typing it. :(
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A Blog Posted by Singapore 's Youngest Millionaire

This is an article Eunice->Jazs shared:

"By Adam Khoo Some of you may already know that I travel around the region pretty frequently, having to visit and conduct seminars at my offices in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Suzhou (China). I am in the airport almost every other week so I get to bump into many people who have attended my seminars or have read my books.

Recently, someone came up to me on a plane to KL and looked rather shocked. He asked, 'How come a millionaire like you is travelling economy?' My reply was, 'That's why I am a millionaire.' He still looked pretty confused. This again confirms that greatest lie ever told about wealth (which I wrote about in my latest book 'Secrets of Self Made Millionaires'). Many people have been brainwashed to think that millionaires have to wear Gucci, Hugo Boss, Rolex, and sit on first class in air travel. This is why so many people never become rich because the moment that earn more money, they think that it is only natural that they spend more, putting them back to square one.

The truth is that most self-made millionaires are frugal and only spend on what is necessary and of value. That is why they are able to accumulate and multiply their wealth so much faster. Over the last 7 years, I have saved about 80% of my income while today I save only about 60% (because I have my wife, mother in law, 2 maids, 2 kids, etc. to support). Still, it is way above most people who save 10% of their income (if they are lucky). I refuse to buy a first class ticket or to buy a $300 shirt because I think that it is a complete waste of money. However, I happily pay $1,300 to send my 2-year old daughter to Julia Gabriel Speech and Drama without thinking twice.

When I joined the YEO (Young Entrepreneur's Organization) a few years back (YEO is an exclusive club open to those who are under 40 and make over $1m a year in their own business) I discovered that those who were self-made thought like me. Many of them with net worths well over $5m, travelled economy class and some even drove Toyota's and Nissans (not Audis, Mercs, BMWs).

I noticed that it was only those who never had to work hard to build their own wealth (there were also a few ministers' and tycoons' sons in the club) who spent like there was no tomorrow. Somehow, when you did not have to build everything from scratch, you do not really value money. This is precisely the reason why a family's wealth (no matter how much) rarely lasts past the third generation. Thank God my rich dad (oh no! I sound like Kiyosaki) foresaw this terrible possibility and refused to give me a cent to start my business.

Then some people ask me, 'What is the point in making so much money if you don't enjoy it?' The thing is that I don't really find happiness in buying branded clothes, jewellery or sitting first class. Even if buying something makes me happy it is only for a while, it does not last. Material happiness never lasts, it just give you a quick fix. After a while you feel lousy again and have to buy the next thing which you think will make you happy. I always think that if you need material things to make you happy, then you live a pretty sad and unfulfilled life.

Instead, what makes ME happy is when I see my children laughing and playing and learning so fast. What makes me happy is when I see by companies and trainers reaching more and more people every year in so many more countries. What makes me really happy is when I read all the emails about how my books and seminars have touched and inspired someone's life. What makes me really happy is reading all your wonderful posts about how this BLOG is inspiring you. This happiness makes me feel really good for a long time, much much more than what a Rolex would do for me.

I think the point I want to put across is that happiness must come from doing your life's work (be in teaching, building homes, designing, trading, winning tournaments etc.) and the money that comes is only a by-product. If you hate what you are doing and rely on the money you earn to make you happy by buying stuff, then I think that you are living a life of meaningless."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I feel the article is very meaningful. This explains why some of them who are earning million of dollars in a year can still go into bankruptcy if they are spending as much as they earn..

I start to turn to material happiness when I am bored and down nowadays. As that is the only way to make myself feel happy. I do understand the happiness would not last for too long but at least I am happy at that time. It is so suffering when you need to live with tighten belt everyday. I think that is the reason that most of the people spend their money in shopping whenever they are down, alone and bored. Now is the right time to find for other thing that can make me feel happy and last longer than material happiness. Living in this universal is a life long learning process, it will never be too late to stop learning unless tomorrow is the end of world or your life. :D Cheer up, Mr Tee...... :)

Weather is getting colder in UK now....

Just have my dinner. I still have ton of works pending in hand now. :(.

Next we will move to bicycle(bike) story. :) There was a second hand bike fair on 28 Oct, Tuesday night at my college, Wolfson. The bikes there were all second hand and sold at very cheap price. All the income would be donated to an African fund. In the afternoon of the day, I was informed by the stupid manager and got to know that I needed to go Headington to collect my debit card. Please read the first post of the headache week then everything in here will make sense. :)

Initially, I told that was a good day as I finally received a letter from the bank stated my card was ready for collection. However, a bunch of story happened after that. I was not able to get my debit card on that day. It was bad as I was running out of cash. If I decided to buy a bike, I might not have enough money to settle my battel. Battel is a student financial account at Oxford Uni. All the expenses I spent at the university will be charged into this account and I am required to clear it once a month. The worst thing was I needed to wait for 6 weeks to cash in my bank draft. This sounds stupid but it is what I was informed by the useless manager in HSBC. It made me so worry about my coming days in Oxford, I only had 70 pound left in my wallet. -.-||

Let's back to bike story again. After the bank incident, I went to Advanced English class until 5pm. Thus, I was late to the bike fair as it started at 5pm. I took about 20 minutes to walk back from language center to my college. By the time I reached the fair, all of the decent bikes had been sold out. Only some old and broken bikes left in the garage. Since I required a bike desperately, I just grabbed one of them which looked in the best condition among all the bikes in there. I was willing to pick it without having second thought as the price was really cheap. The bike only costed one pound. I talked to myself, it was sold at such a low price even it could not work and be repaired, I would not suffer much lose. The most important thing was the income would eventually go into the charity fund. As a result, I bought one of them.

After getting the bike, I went to a repair workshop in my college. Spent about 2 hours plus in the workshop, trying to fix the bike. At the end, I found out it required a major repair. The bearing of the bike was not functioning, it made the bike became impossible for me to cycle. The pedal moved left and right whenever I cycled. The second problem was the brake wire rusted already, only the right hand side brake was still working. I was told by the volunteer in the workshop to send my bike to a bike Dr in university club the next day. They would only charge the changed spare parts because it was subsidised by the university. Labour charge in UK is killing people man. :) I missed my dinner on that night as dining hall in my college only opened from 6.30 to 7.30pm during weekday. I started to miss the food stalk, mamak and restaurant in Malaysia which operate almost 24 hours and 7 days in a week. (Super hungry now as today is Saturday night, no dinner in dining hall -.-|||). I came back at 8 ++pm and replied mails until 11++pm then only cooked the last instant noodle ( maggi mee) I had for dinner.

I pushed my bike to university club the next day morning. I was told that the bike required major repair. He advised me to send it to their bike repair workshop at Magdalen Road which was so far away from the university club. I needed a bike desperately as it was more convenient to travel in Oxford town by bike than walking. I only had an hour of lecture which began at 4pm. Therefore, I decided to go there. It was surprisingly super far away. I took about 1 hour ++ to go to the place with the bike. :( The lady in the shop estimated I might need about 70 to 80 pound to repair the bike. I found it was not worth as I could get a new bike with a few more pound; thus, I made up my mind not to repair it and headed straight to HeadingTon to collect my debit card. I am the type of person that will worry about my day if I do not have enough money in my pocket. However, Headington is situated on the other side of Magdelan Road. The easiest and most convenient way to go there from the repaired shop was to walk there.

I pushed the bike and went to the HSBC branch. The whole journey was about 1 hour. The worst part was actually there were plenty of up hill roads from Cowley(repaired shop area) to Headington. I reached at HSBC branch with my 1 pound bike at 4pm. I was exhausted. Luckily, the branch in Headington is more professional than the Conrmarket Street. I managed to sort out my bank problem in less than 5 minutes. Nevertheless, I missed my class as it was already 4.10pm. I had done one of the most correct decisions I made so long in Oxford that was to leave my bike in the bike shed near Headington HSBC branch. :P I really no energy to bring it back to my college some more there was no way that I would spend that amount of money to repair it. :D Sorry.... I know I am bad but I can resist to do it actually. :P

I came back to my room at night. After having a shower for the tired day, I found out my room door was not working anymore. I was not able to open it using my key. I went down to the lodge with a thin shirt and long pant, the weather was freezing on that night. An engineer came and broke my door. The saddest thing was nobody came out to have a look in my building. The guy came with a hammer and other tools to break it but none of the resident in my place opened their doors to find out what was happening. If the residents are so selfish and taking care of their own business only, my place would not be a good and safe place to stay. The amount of time the engineer took is equivalent to the period a thief requires to break into our rooms. I do not dare to think about the consequences if the case really occurs in my place. The picture below shows how bad is my door after the incident. :(

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_leuukxfeWNU/SQzFE0eMiQI/AAAAAAAAACw/5KNKjmoCGvk/s200/Broken+door.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5263798751084710146" />

A headache week....

This is a headache week for me. There are plenty of things happen to me in these few days.

First and fore most is to open a bank account in HSBC bank. The whole process is one month long. I personally feel that they are very inefficient. I need to go in person to complain to them for three times. Banks in Malaysia are much better than HSBC bank in UK. I still remembered when I opened a HSBC account in Malaysia. It only took me half an hour to get every done including my atm card. However, I required to wait for a few working days if I would like to have a credit card. In comparison to the UK HSBC bank, it took almost 3 weeks for me to open an account and another one week plus to get my debit card (equivalent to atm card in Malaysia but the feature is slightly better as you can use it to pay your bills as long as there is money in the account). The whole process is about 1 month time. This is ridiculously show. I am not sure why an international bank like HSBC needs such a long period to open one account. If I would like to have a credit card, they estimated it would probably take up 3 months time to process it. -.-|||| 3 months??? How many 3 months do you have in one year?

The best part is yet to come. The employees in Cornmarket street HSBC branch are not professional. They are giving wrong information to me frequently. One of the managers in the branch did not even know how long to cash a bank draft from Malaysia but has a branch in London. The stupid manager told me I needed to wait for 6 weeks to cash in the money. I nearly fainted when I heard about it. I called to the bank where I got my bank draft from the next day. The operator from London branch informed me, the bank just needed one or two day(s) to process it but she was not aware of how long HSBC might need to send it over to them. I can understand the situation as nothing the other side can do if my bank draft does not even reach their hand.

Beside giving all the above troubles to me, the stupid bank also sent my debit card to another branch that is located 20 minutes away from the place where I handed in my documents. How bad is the service for branch in Cornmarket street? They still asked me where did I submit my required documents to. I replied I sent all of them to there. I could still remember the one who served me on 1 Oct. They said they could request the other branch to send it over to them but it might take 3 - 4 working days. Can you tell me one thing that does not require to wait? I had to wait for at least an hour whenever I went to the stupid bank. This included the day I wanted to collect my debit card. After telling them I would like to collect the card and show them my passport, they requested me to wait for it. If I did not approach the other staff myself, I really had no idea how long I would have to wait.

I went to another branch in Headington. It is the branch where my debit card was sent to. Surprisingly, a small branch in Headington can process the thing 100 times more efficiently and professionally than the big branch in Cornmarket street. I managed to get my card in less than 5 minutes. In there, I was informed that the bank draft ONLY required at most 4 working days to cash in. It is so much different from the time the stupid manager in Cornmarket told me. 6 weeks and 4 working days are very different. I am kind of curious how the hell the person can be a manager in the branch but does not even know how long a bank draft takes to cash in. Finally, the money was banked in to my account on the same day as I handed it to the bank in Headington.

In conclusion, the branch in Cornemarket Street is ethically unprofessional. Even a manager in the bank does not know how the bank works in and out. If a manager is not sure about the process of the bank, who do you expect will know once all the senior members leave the company? I am super unsatisfied with the service provided by the HSBC bank in UK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are still a lot of other stories to share out in this week. I still faced a few other problems that obstructed me from concentrating on my study. Anyway, I will share it out in this blog after having my lunch. :)

Another Sunday...

Just finished watching a football game. It was Chelsea versus Liverpool. Chelsea lost 1 - 0. Finally, Liverpool broke Chelsea unbeaten run at home from 2004. Just for some non-football fans, Chelsea had not lost for 86 games at home. The misery is ended by Liverpool. I watched the last part of first interval and second half of the game. It is not very interesting because there is only one goal in 90 minutes game. :P I missed the goal as it was scored in first 5 minutes of the game. Anyway, this is just my opinion only. :) Don be offended if you think it is a very entertaining game. :D

Cooked my own food again as today is Sunday again. This is my 4th Sunday in UK. As usual, there is no meal in the dining hall. According to Wikipedia definition, matriculation, in the broadest sense, means to be registered or added to a list, from the Latin matrix. In Scottish heraldry, for instance, a matriculation is a registration of armorial bearings. The most common meaning, however, refers to the formal process of entering a university, or of becoming eligible to enter by acquiring the meeting prerequisites.

It is an annual big event at University of Oxford. Matriculation is the first time that students are obliged to dress in full academic dress (called Sub Fusc). Comprising dark suit and white bow tie for men or dark skirt, white blouse and tie for women, with mortar board and gown compulsory accessories for both, sub fusc is the official academic dress of the University. It is worn much less now than even in the recent past when it was required for attendance at lectures, library and other official University events. However, it is still compulsory attire for matriculation, graduation and for attending examinations. The picture below shows how the Sub Fusc looks like. :)
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_leuukxfeWNU/SPz7LvlT2sI/AAAAAAAAACY/TaLLgo7nFCM/s200/SNC14465.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5259354644031986370" />

My Second meal in UK

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_leuukxfeWNU/SPIKbRByORI/AAAAAAAAACQ/xTo0cYokoPw/s200/SNC14411.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5256275178638424338" />

I cooked Bah Kut Teh soup and curry sauce pasta for my lunch on Sunday. I think I am bored with all my own cooked western food already (tagliatelle and spaghetti). Hence, I tried to cook the chinese herbal soup. It tastes good but requires too much time to cook. It took me a few hours to cook it until I could get the herbal smell and taste. I put in 2 chicken chest meats and drumsticks. Well, it is not hard to cook the soup as my girl friend bought the package herb for me from supermarket in Malaysia. What I need to do is to throw everything into a sauce pan and wait for it to boil for a few hours.

After cooking myself for these two days, I am kind of tired of cooking myself anymore. I will go for frozen pizza next weekend. It seems to be easy to prepare as well. The pizza can be purchased from any supermarket or store near by. Then, I just need to put it into the oven and heat it up for some time. I think this is the most convenient way to settle a meal. It is because I do not need to waste time preparing the ingredients and cleaning the mess after cooking. :P

I plan to take the soup and snicker as my dinner tonight because it is too tiring to cook other food and it tastes so so only. :D Beside that, I ate my lunch quite late. It is 3.30pm in UK now. I do not think I will feel hungry by 7pm. Have to start with my work and assignment now. Stay tuned. :)

My first cooked meal in UK...

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_leuukxfeWNU/SPCjSGpRNcI/AAAAAAAAACI/oguOBV1P1Tc/s200/SNC14410.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255880296558048706" />
Paste with curry sauce is my first cooked meal in UK. It tastes not too bad. However, I found that it is more expensive to cook myself than eating in the dining hall. I spent about 2 hours to clean up the kitchen, prepare and cook the food. The ingredients(pasta, chicken, hot dog and ham) cost about 2-3 pound. As a result, I find out that it is not worthy to cook myself if the hall is open. It is because I spend almost the same price to have a meal in the hall but it only takes me about 30 minutes to eat the food, meet and chat with other college mates.

Conclusion, no more cooking myself if the dining hall is open. :)

It is too heavy to carry so many things.... :)

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_leuukxfeWNU/SO-z4ckzGrI/AAAAAAAAACA/F8Dcy2ppcW0/s200/SNC14409.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255617072489241266" />

I went to shopping in Westgate supermarket in the evening. Since the supermarket is located in the city centre, there are a lot of people. I bought a lot of groceries and food from Sainsbury. After getting all the necessities, I dropped by Argo to get an iron and alarm clock. The things in UK are too expensive. The small clock costs me about 2 pound which is approximately RM13. -.-||

The weather in UK is getting colder. Thus, I visited Boswell to buy duvet. It is written as 13.5 TOG. According to the lady, this duvet is pretty good and warm. It can also be used in winter. I will try it tonight. Hopefully, it is really useful as I tend to wake up a few times at night if the weather is too cold. This thing is not cheap as well, it is 14.99 pound. Luckily, the shop is giving out 10 percent discount to student. All the students are entitled to this provided a university card is presented when you want to make the payment. I also bought a laundry basket, fry pan and 3 to 2 ways plug adaptor for my handphone in the shop.

I do not wash my clothes for about 2 weeks already. The cloth is mountain high in my room. I will bring all of them to the launderette machine which is located below the Wolfson College lodge after taking a shower.

Let's back to the most important point of this post. I did not realise how heavy is the stuffs I bought until I started my journey to go back to my dorm. It took more than 45 minutes to come back. The things are so heavy, I had to stop a few times before I could finally step in to the room. During normal day, I am able to walk back in less than 25 minutes. From tomorrow onwards, I will start to cook my own meal as I have spent about 50 pound in the shopping this evening. Very miskin now.

One of the most annoying things in Oxford is opening a bank account. It is already 8 working days and I still do not get my atm and credit card. I am running out of cash now. Hopefully they can speed up the process and send me the cards as soon as possible. A pity student, waiting for bank account to be opened so that he can cash in his traveller cheque.

Backache and shoulder problem.... :(

I think I am having "hong ship" already. I cant sleep well every night in Oxford even though I am exhausted. Most of the time I will wake up in the midnight due to backache and shoulder-ache. I do not know how to describe my feeling. It makes me feel sour over my shoulder and back. Hopefully this will not last for long as my term will start next week. If it persists, I am worry that I can not concentrate on my study. I am doing one year master course in Oxford Uni. According to the information I have, this course is very busy and packed as everything has to be completed in less than a year. The sleepless night makes me feel very tired the next day even I have slept for more than 10 hours. I will wake up a couple of times in the 10 hours which degrade my sleeping quality. :(

Most of the time, I required to use Takahi Hot strong medicated plaster(the sticker in the picture) at night to reduce the sourness of my body. I think I can not survive in UK without using it for the next one year. However I only have 23 pieces left.:( Sometime the cool is actually coming out from my bone. It will start with my hand then it spreads to my back and shoulder. The cool is actually coming from inside and is not caused by the weather. I do not face this kind of problem in the morning. It only happens at night after I have slept for a few hours. If anyone of you so happen has this kind of symptom before, please share with me how do you deal with it. You are welcome to tell me as well if you are having the same problem.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_leuukxfeWNU/SOvOZc8iaSI/AAAAAAAAAB4/Q_mGOJSpAYQ/s200/SNC14406.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5254520326919973154" />

Postgraduate Induction Day

This afternoon was Postgraduate Induction Day for Engineering Science Department. The talks were not too bad but it concentrated more on DPhil and MSc by research program. I got to know that there were a number of students doing MSc in Biomedical Engineering. It is quite happy to notice this as it means this new discipline starts to get more attention from scholars around the world. Hopefully this course will not disappoint me as tuition and college fee are not cheap in here. Let's pray for me. :P

Tomorrow will be Induction Day for my program. I really hope that it will be more informative and better than the general introduction in this afternoon. Let's see what will happen at 2pm in Thom Building on 7 Oct 2008. :D

I am packed with all sort of activities organize by the university and college currently. I have no time to finish up my previous research project in UNITEN which is related to application of artificial intelligence in WCDMA mobile communication network. I think I really need to spare more time looking into it sooner else I might forget the flow of whole program completely later.

In a nutshell, it is a great experience to study oversea as I get to experience and explore a lot of new and exciting things in Oxford especially the people I have met in Wolfson College. :) Cheer!!!!

"Roaming charges within Asean to be reduced" quoted from www.thestar.com.my

I came across this exciting news from thestar online. This is a very good move from the government to bring down mobile phone charges.

Now only I realise that Malaysia mobile operators are charging their customers at a very low rate. Before this I do not really care about call and sms charges, but every single cent count when I started my study life in UK. I just bought a new sim card from one of the mobile operators in UK. It is a very famous operator, its logo used to appear in one of the top teams in English Premier League. :P

Let's come back to the mobile charges. Since I am a Malaysian student studying in oversea, the call that affecting me the most is to call home. I am using a prepared package in UK. It costs me 1.49 pound/min to call back and 24p to send a sms to my home country. I am not sure about others;however,I feel the charges are high. It is because I require to call home frequently.

I was using a postpaid service back in my country. It will be better to do apple to apple comparison. Thus, I visit my UK mobile operator website to check out the international call price for postpaid service. It cost 90p/min. Well, it is not too bad because the previous charges 99sen/min. When it comes to sms, Malaysia mobile operators charge the customers at a very low cost. It only costs you 20 sen to send a sms from Malaysia to UK. For the one in UK, it charges a sms sent from UK to Malaysia for 24p (if I am not mistaken, do forgive me if I am giving out wrong information - :P).

It is comparable when we do one to one comparison if Ringgit Malaysia (RM) is equivalent to one Sterling Pound. I know it is not rational to take exchange rate into consideration. In fact, I still need to use my money, Ringgit Malaysia to change for sterling pound. Hence, I tend to make the following comparison.

UK Mobile Operator -> International call -- 90p (~RM5.40)
-> International SMS -- 24p (~RM1.44)
** From UK to Malaysia

Malaysia Mobile Operator -> International call -- RM0.99
-> International SMS -- RM0.20
** From Malaysia to UK

Wah! Now you should have realised how cheap is the price charged by the Malaysia operator. Anyway, there is still nothing I can do beside paying it since I will be staying in here for the coming one year. :D

Hopefully I am able to see "roaming charges within whole world to be reduced" in one day. :) Nevertheless, this is a very good move with ASEAN country. Jia you. :D

Weather in UK

6°C
Current:Mostly Cloudy
Wind: E at 0 km/h
Humidity: 73%

Oh, my god! It is quite cold here, the temperature outside is about 10 Celcius only. Oh my god, it is even colder than Genting!! The worst thing is local people told me, the weather now is considered light summer for them. It will snow in winter which starts in Oct. :((

I will just post up a few pictures I took from Malaysia to here. Currently,I have no time to write a story on the journey to the West. Perhaps, this post will serve as an official start for my blog in UK. Stay tuned with this blog if you are interested in my life in UK. :)

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_leuukxfeWNU/SOIBecK32nI/AAAAAAAAAA4/4WeO1L1H8nQ/s200/SNC14335.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251761737936919154" />
Family picture

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_leuukxfeWNU/SOIBQNLmUbI/AAAAAAAAAAw/8p-y-zR6mtg/s200/SNC14367.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251761493395263922" />
Airbus A340

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_leuukxfeWNU/SOIBqRehVrI/AAAAAAAAABA/ax6SFUqzOLU/s200/SNC14368.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251761941224969906" />
Abu Dhabi Airport waiting zone

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_leuukxfeWNU/SOICSh0bd8I/AAAAAAAAABI/zADBr-XjGzQ/s200/SNC14371.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251762632806594498" />
Cloud

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_leuukxfeWNU/SOIDCL8uyRI/AAAAAAAAABQ/5lD86PY3gJ8/s200/SNC14372.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251763451569555730" />
My first meal in UK.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_leuukxfeWNU/SOIEDr6giWI/AAAAAAAAABg/jesH4sK-6Js/s200/SNC14374.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251764576841664866" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_leuukxfeWNU/SOID3kYiWYI/AAAAAAAAABY/9V25r2Nj4vE/s200/SNC14373.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251764368661698946" />My room. :P

Miserable 27 August 2007......

Tomorrow is 28 of August 2007. Anyway, this date might not be special for most of the people but it is for me. This date is the last day for me to report to Dongseo University in Korea. I suppose to fly there by 27 which is today. However, I have made up one of the most important decisions in my life - I have chosen to give up the full scholarship offer and stay back in Malaysia until next year for .......

I have a special feeling in my heart now because this kind of opportunity will not come easily. Studying in oversea is always my dream before completing my undergraduate degree in MMU. I always envy the others who have the chance to further their study in a new place and environment. After struggling for about a month, a final decision has been concluded. I chose to reject the offer after being informed by Prof Wang regarding the success of getting Korea government scholarship, IITA. I felt really sorry to Prof Wang and would like to express my deepest gratitude to him for all the helps and supports given. I hope Prof will be able to get a more suitable and better candidate in the future.

Actually I felt neither happy nor excited when I was informed by the Prof that I had successfully obtained the scholarship and got admission letter. It was because I knew that I needed to give it up in the first point.Hopefully this choice will bring fruitful and positive outcome in the coming time just like my move to KL in form four.... To be continued.....

For KFC lover.......

New Voucher for KFC lover... However, i do not have time to post it here. The camare was bought during Fotokem Fair in Midvalley on 10 of June 2007. NV 10 was purchased for my coming trips. It costs me around Rm1380 includes a big tripod, 2 + 1 G SD card, one travel bag, extended warranty ( 3 Years), screen protector, Fotokem member card, 120 free copies of A4 size picture and ....

It uses Schneider len which is considered to be one of the best lens. However, i do not really care about that as i am not a photographer. As long as it is clear on camare LCD screen and PC, it will be fine for me. Nevertheless, it is not. According to the seller, this type of camare is not as good as sony brand digital camare because sony is optimised for on screen LCD and PC or TV display. For Samsung NV 10, it is not as competitive as sony or even Canon and Lumix in displaying on screen or PC. It is quite sad to hear that because my main purpose of buying a digital camare is to store them in hard disk. The good thing is the printed quality will be definitely better than Sony and Lumix quoted from the shopkeeper. Anyway, please believe 30 -40 % of that as most of the time they will not stand on the fence. I will experience it myself after coming back from Perhentian or perhaps CSP 8.

Actually i went back to the shop to ask for an exchange after a few days. They rejected my offer because i bought it during the Fotokem Fair, they had closed their account. After negeotiating with them for about an hour, i finally gave up and brought my camare back. Since the service was good and sale person was very polite and friendly, i finally decided not to trouble him anymore because he had helped me to call his manager for a few times. Thanks for the calls even it din work out in the end.

You must be wondering why this camare has been chosen since it does not fulfill my purpose. hehe... Actually one of the functions attracts my attention. It actually allows the users to take 30 pictures continuously in one shot. After taking the pictures, it can be played like a flash. This blog is brought back after stopping for nearly a year. There were a few reasons behind stopping this blog but they were not important anymore. Now, reasons for blogging are more attractive than the previous.

Firstly, one of the stages in my life had ended peacefully on 8 of June 2007. My final year and semester result was annouced. Thanks God, I pass all my subjects taken. This means that i am an official engineer who can carry the title "Engr" ( Sorry Prof Chua, I cant really recall the exact title that you have fought so hard for all the engineers, please correct me if i am wrong). This date was a memorable day that worth to be written down. It marked the end of my undergradaute study which had lasted for five years. 5 years seems to be a very long time;however, it is not actually. I still remembered my first day in MMU, I was so excited. Throughout the days in MMU, i am able to know a lot of new and good friends. Thanks god for giving me the opportunity to know them. I wish all of them to have bright and successful future.

Next, I am too bored at home. My daily routine is to sleep, eat and play dota. I really does not like this kind of life style. I would like to have some outdoor activities or gatherings. Is there anyone would like to go for supper??

I am waiting for 22 and 28 of June to arrive. I will be going to perhentian with my university coursemates on 22 and CSP 8 event on 28. Hopefully both of the days can arrive as soon as possible.I am really liveless at home now.
